Join us as we do a deep dive look at Pastor Tim Travis’ messages: My Gifts, His Glory (Part 3) – Don’t Cover the Warning Lights & The Gifts of the Holy Spirit (Part 1) – Temporary Signs, Permanent Truth
Are you ignoring the spiritual “check engine lights” flashing in your life by taping over them, or are you allowing the written Word of God to transform your daily walk? In this week’s Deep Dive, Pastor Tim Travis guides us through 1 Corinthians 12 and Galatians 5 to examine the true operation of spiritual gifts in the believer’s life. We explore how temporary sign gifts—such as tongues and faith healing—were given to authenticate the Gospel message before the New Testament canon was completed, reminding us to anchor our faith in the sufficiency of the written Scriptures rather than chasing emotional spectacles or counterfeit displays. Turning to Galatians 5, Pastor Tim Travis challenges us to exercise our gifts under the power of the Holy Spirit, showing us how to overcome weak human nature by reprogramming our minds with biblical truth. By daily crucifying carnal desires rather than relying on worldly placebos, we can walk in victory and ensure that the “dash” on our tombstone represents a faithful legacy that brings glory to Christ for eternity.
