The King James Version (KJV) is used by many for several reasons related to the preservation and accuracy of God’s word. First, the Old Testament was preserved through priests and scribes, while the New Testament was preserved through believers in the churches. Second, the KJV is based on the traditional text of the New Testament, which is supported by a large number of manuscripts. Third, modern translations based on the critical text omit words, verses, and passages found in the received text, which can impact the teaching and understanding of doctrine. These factors, along with the KJV’s clarity, longevity, and influence, contribute to its continued use and belief as a superior English translation of the Bible.
Our study begins in Proverbs 30:5-6.
