The author of the Bible is the Holy Spirit, and we must allow the Holy Spirit to interpret it for us. We must get acquainted with the author by reading the Bible regularly and understanding its context. We should also concentrate on the meaning of individual words and allow the words to mean what they say unless it is indicated otherwise. By paying attention to these principles, we can correctly interpret the Bible and apply its teachings to our lives. Our study begins in 2 Peter 1:12-2:3.
