Pastor Tim Travis draws parallels between ancient Israel’s decline and contemporary America, asserting that both face impending judgment due to disobedience and sinfulness. Pastor Travis shows us the necessity of revival, as exemplified by King Josiah’s righteous reign in 2 Chronicles 34. Travis outlines three key aspects for maintaining a “Savior-sensitive church”: individual seeking of the Lord, demonstrated by Josiah’s personal commitment despite his wicked lineage; repairing the “house of God,” both literally and figuratively, by removing unholy influences and prioritizing sacred spaces; and crucially, adhering to the specific commands found in the “book of the law” (the Bible), which brings conviction and directs believers in God’s will rather than their own understanding. Ultimately, Pastor Travis emphasizes that true, lasting revival, both personally and corporately, stems from a return to God’s authoritative word and a commitment to obey its precise instructions.
