When we consider the life of Paul we often think of his faithfulness to the cause of Christ. In Acts 18:7-11 we get a glimpse of this faithfulness as he stays and does the work required to strengthen the ministry. What about us? Will we strengthen our missionaries, our pastors, our church members, our families?…
As we consider missions and the importance of them, we must consider the need for spiritual meat to go forth that others may grow spiritually. This is what Paul challenged the Corinthians to in 1 Corinthians 3:1-8 – that they grow in spiritual matters and become mature!
As we study Matthew 9:35-38 we see Christ’s heard for the lost as He asks us to pray for laborers to go forth unto the harvest. Let us join together in praying for this great need that still exists today!
Missions are the heart of the Church as we follow Christ’s plan for us to reach the world. In Acts 8:1-39 we see the beginning of missions as the church is spread to the world. What will our impact be?
James prompts us in James 2:15-26 not to be dead Christians, but to be those that are working for the Kingdom, to have fruit in our spiritual lives. While these acts will never save us, there should be evidence of our salvation.
After the Resurrection, what are we to do? Acts 1:4-15 lets us know that we should do that which we’ve been commissioned to do while we await his return. Will we focus our attention? Will we be burdened to reach our community and the world? Will we continue in the faith?
