Satan seeks to destroy us. Sometimes through spiritual attacks, but 1 Corinthians 5:1-6 warns us that sometimes these are attacks to our body. Friend, we must be ready and heeding what God tells us in His Word!
When the angels proclaimed the birth of the Savior to the shepherds in Luke 2:8-29, the oft quoted phrase of peace on earth was proclaimed. But what came before that phrase? Glory to God in the highest! If we don’t glorify God, can there truly be peace in our lives?
The Bible is full of warnings to nations who’s god is not God. Isaiah 5:7-23 reminds us of what happens as we depart from the ways of God. Will we stand firm in the teachings of God or go the way of the world?
There is often uncertainty today over what the truth is. God leaves us with no doubt when it comes to the truth about Him. Galatians 1:6-18 remind us to cling to the truth, to not go after other gospels or teaches that we might fancy, but to cling to the truth of salvation.
2 Timothy 3 warns us of the things we will see in the last days as people turn from God and go their own way. We’ve seen a great decline in Americans have come to depend on their wealth and prosperity instead of their Creator. What about you today? Do you continue to give credit…
Throughout history, God has been looking for faithful people to serve Him. In the book of Esther, we’re reminded how a young lady was able to use her bad circumstances to save God’s people. There are no accidents or coincidences for the Christian – are we ready to serve God where we are today?
As a nation, we no longer claim to be under God, but more that we’re done, or over, with God. In Isaiah 59:1-4 we see how God dealt with Israel when they went away from God. What will be our legacy? Will we recognize that the only way to succeed is when we’re under God?
Reading Matthew 4:1-11 gives us insight, as followers of Christ, on how we should follow Christ’s example in dealing with temptation in our lives. Satan continues to use the same tactics today – will we learn from the example of Christ and keep the Word of God ever in our minds?
